When mixed with an essential liquid of the vehicle (fuel, oil or coolant), a treatment will chemically remedy failures of the: engine, fuel system or cooling system when the problem is due to contamination or degradation of the fluid, rather than a mechanical one.
No. However, the advantages of the treatments will fade after several thousand kilometres and it is recommended that you renew them on a regular basis. Please refer to product label.

In order to obtain a good mixture of the product in the tank, Wynn’s recommends you pour fuel treatments into the tank before topping up to ensure thorough mixing of product and fuel.
The ratio of fuel treatments to fuel is not critical because the same quantity of detergent chemical passes through the fuel system and injectors/carburettors. Wynn’s Fuel Treatments are formulated so that one bottle treats up to 80 litres of fuel.
We do not recommend mixing any Wynn’s products. Certain Wynn’s products can technically be mixed, but the mixture will generally not increase the performance of the products. Moreover, prudence is called for and we recommend contacting the Wynn’s Technical Department for more detailed information.

Wynn’s retail treatments for DIY are developed with the everyday consumer in mind. In general, if one bottle only is added incorrectly e.g. putting a petrol additive into a diesel engine fuel tank, the additive is still soluble in the diesel and should not make the engine inoperative. We do recommend topping up the fuel tank in this instance to dilute the product. On the other hand, if a fuel additive is accidentally added to the engine oil, again no immediate damage would occur. We do recommend changing the oil as early as possible, as the lubrication quality of the engine oil may be affected. The same principle applies in many similar instances. If in doubt please call the Wynn’s Technical Info Line: 1800 177 989.
Yes. Common Rail Diesel (CRD) engines become the norm now for newer diesel passenger vehicles. This is possible because the availability of Ultra Low Sulphur diesel in Australia and New Zealand. Very often, these CRD engines come with sophisticated emission control systems which can be affected by the sulphur of the diesel fuel. Wynn’s Treatments are carefully formulated to avoid any harmful effect to the engine or the emission system.
The answer is “it is worth to try”. Many of the engine warning lights are related to the emission control systems. If the engine is running better with the Wynn’s Treatment, it is likely that the engine warning light may disappear. Wynn’s Petrol Power Boost is particular effective in overcoming engine warning lights in some models of engines, as the Octane number of the fuel is raised.
Not directly. Again, the better the combustion, the less carbon is built up in the engine. The carbon built up problem is caused by the quality of the fuel and the city driving cycles which are difficult to change or avoid. Hence, as a preventive measure, it is beneficial to add Wynn’s Diesel Fuel treatments to diesel fuel.
